Healing from trauma requires addressing the root causes of the trauma and working to process and integrate the traumatic experiences. This can involve therapy, self-care practices, and other healing modalities, such as HeartHealing. By healing from trauma, a person can regain a sense of safety and security, improve their mental and emotional health, and strengthen their relationships with others.


When a person experiences trauma, it can disrupt their sense of safety and security. It can create feelings of fear, helplessness, and powerlessness. Trauma can affect a person's ability to regulate their emotions, making them more susceptible to anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.


If a person doesn't address their trauma, it can also affect their relationships with others. They may struggle to trust others or to form healthy attachments. They may also struggle with intimacy or have difficulty setting boundaries.
